Questions about SAM, the waitlist, or text messages.
What is SAM?
SAM (Smart Assistant Manager) is an AI fantasy football assistant you text. Link Sleeper, Yahoo, or ESPN, then hit him with start-sit questions, trade takes, and the usual group-chat chaos. He also flags injury news, waiver results, and lineup holes. He is AI. He talks like he has been in your league for years.
When does the beta start?
SAM is in a closed beta now. Invites go out from the waitlist as spots open. Join on the home page.
Can I put SAM on my home screen?
Yes. On iPhone, open samfantasy.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the menu, then Add to Home screen. SAM opens full screen from there.
Can I text SAM a screenshot?
Yes. Text him a screenshot of a trade offer, your lineup, or a waiver screen and he reads it and answers. He keeps the text of what he read with your conversation, not the picture. If he cannot make it out, he says so; type it out and he takes it from there.
Why did a link in a text sign me in?
Links in SAM's texts open the page you were pointed at and sign you in on that phone if you are not already, once, for up to a week after he sends it. Keep them to yourself; each one is keyed to your account. If you added SAM to your Home Screen, a tapped link opens in Safari, and it signs you in there too.
How do I stop texts?
Reply STOP to any SAM message to cancel. You will get a confirmation and no further messages. Texts only exist after you opt in via the optional texts section of the waitlist form, on the homepage or the SMS Program page (or in the app, during account setup or in Account). Reply HELP for help, or email support@samfantasy.com. See the SMS Program page for full details.
