This page is where you can join the SAM waitlist and optionally opt in to text messages, and where carrier and platform reviewers can verify the program.

How users opt in

Users opt in by joining the waitlist on this page or the homepage, then completing the optional texts section: enter a mobile number and check the unchecked-by-default consent box. You can join the waitlist without opting in to texts. The texts section is optional and separate from the waitlist and from our Terms. No account is required for this waitlist path. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Users can also opt in at the Texts from SAM step at sign-up or in the Phone and Texting card in Account. Enter a mobile number, check the consent box, and confirm the code we texted. Texts are optional.

Program details

  • Conversational fantasy football assistance and account notifications: injury and inactive alerts, waiver results, lineup reminders.
  • You can also text SAM a screenshot (MMS) of a trade offer, a lineup, or a waiver screen, and he reads it and replies. The image is read to answer that text and is not kept; see the Privacy Policy.
  • Message frequency: Message frequency varies with your usage and your alert settings. Automated alert volume depends on how many leagues you link and which alerts you turn on. On peak days like game days and waiver runs, users with multiple leagues and all alerts enabled may receive 15 or more messages in a day. Automated alerts are never limited or delayed by conversation volume. Reply STOP to cancel at any time.
  • Messages may include links to samfantasy.com and to the user's linked fantasy platform (Sleeper or ESPN).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
